Year 9 last place: help?

Our projections of the marketplace were completely off. How do we make accurate projections from the current data? (As in, what factors do we need to consider and analyze in order to understand what the market will be doing?) The areas are: Price, P/Q Rating, and All Other Marketing Variables. The PDF seemed to be more geared to those who are just starting out, and we are in a hole.

We are currently in a close last place in year 9. Our strategy has been low cost low price in the entry level segment, and highly diversified and priced in the Multi-Featured. In the MF our prices were too high relative to the competition in year 8... the industry avg. was about 4.5 and ours were priced at 550, with the highest PQ of 4.5... Our EL gained market share, and was competitively priced, but because of our bunk predictions we lost money on every model sold. It seems that everything is pointing to the market predictions, and figuring how to accurately estimate them.

Ultimately it is coming down to be that your strategy has no true robustability. It's less about being "accurate" and more about making a strategy that will be competitive in the market place.
